La Voie Bressane.
The old railway line La Voie Bressane is 69 km long and traverses between Lons le Saunier and Chalon-sur-Saône.
We will be joining the Voie Bressane at Lons le Saunier continuing to our campsite at Louhans a total distace of 28 km.
After Lunch in the beautiful Parc des Bains. Our start point Lons le Saunier is the administrative centre of the Jura a French department. The Spa, Grand Buildings, Theatre and arched covered street are well worth a visit. We joined the Voie Bressane next to the current railway line, in the first few KM we passed over several bridges before reaching Courlans, where there is a cycle rest stop. The remainder of the route we enjoyed the pastures, forests and lakes before reaching our campsite at the Louhans famous for its Monday market, and architecture.
The route is well sign posted and is mostly on the old railway line.
