The 45 km Voie PLM takes it name from the old railway line manged by Paris Lyon Marseille railway company.
This route starts just outside the Spa town of Lons le Saunier at Perrigny. The first section you cycle on is hard sand, passing the remote areas of Conliège and Revigny then heading gently upwards to the first plateau through some large structures including a metal bridge and the large Diana Tunnel. After passing Briod the route is paved and you now follow the river AIN. Make sure you keep looking right for some views of the High Jura. Between Chatillon and Marigny the route is shared, you then rejoin the PLM along the newly resurfaced route to Champagnole the gateway of the High Jura.
